An Academic Excellence Manager (AEM) is key to the successful implementation of the LEAD Integrated System in a partner school. A typical AEM role is a combination of problem solving, driving excellent academic outcomes and capacity building in teams for school development. An AEM works with various stakeholders internally and externally. In school an AEM closely works with school owners, school leaders, principals and teachers. Within LEAD, an AEM acts as a bridge between a school and various functional teams.

The key responsibilities of an AEM can be broadly bucketed into 3 buckets:

Academic Implementation

• Build capacity by training and coaching school leaders, academic coordinators and teachers in LEAD partner schools to drive implementation of LEAD Integrated System that delivers excellent student outcomes.
• Support and monitor LEAD Integrated System execution in partner schools through regular observations and data-driven conversations
• Create and share excellent and meaningful reports at regular intervals to showcase student and teacher performance, and interventions that are being carried out

School Development

• Building strong relationships with school owners, principals, academic coordinators and teachers. Resulting in excellent implementation of the Integrated System.
• Work closely with stakeholders in partner schools to co-create and execute school development plans that help them achieve the desired student outcomes and grow with LEAD.

Program Support

• Collaborate with other functions in the organisation to provide seamless support to partner schools.
• Proactively gather insights from the field and share with internal teams.

The role of an AEM is exciting and diverse and no two days are the same. This is because our mission of making excellent education attainable to APS (affordable private schools) means working with schools on a grassroot level. This also means an AEM is expected to travel about 15 days in a month.

On field - School visits, Team training, Teacher training, School support visit.

Off field - Report creation, Query resolution, Internal training, driving student level competitions.

An AEM typically manages a portfolio of 16 schools spread across a given geography and impacts more than 6000 students.

Barring any internal training, the AEM will have a 200km radius of travel from their base location.

NO. At LEAD, we understand the complex structures and responsibilities within a school management. We have specific teams to handle the various needs of the people we impact. As an AEM your only focus is driving academic interventions and outcomes at a school level. We have designated teams to handle the financial and logistical issues at a school. Therefore an AEM will not have any commercial responsibilities.

An experience in the education sector is required to apply for this role. Having an experience of teaching in a classroom is definitely an added advantage. Please look at the eligibility for different personas.
