INTRODUCTION The geographical location of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad School is a delightful natural landscape, which makes the atmosphere of this school peaceful. This school is situated in the idyllic valley a beautiful, clean, and pollution-free place, just 5 km away far from Sundernagar (Mandi), surrounded by green mountains in Himachal Pradesh of North India, so provides a suitable environment for the mental development of children. It was established in August 1992 with the purpose to provide higher educational facilities to the students of Mandi district and nearby areas. The school is recognized by the Himachal Pradesh Board of Education Dharamsala up to class XII, which covers all subjects of Arts and Science. Keeping in view the overall development in the field of education with more emphasis on English language school provides the subjects of arts, sciences, sports, computer, general knowledge, etc. in English medium. Other subjects like Islamic Studies, Qur'an Paak, and Urdu are also being taught here from Nursery to Senior Secondary classes. The school offers facilities like a well-stocked library, well-equipped science laboratory, computer lab and playground for all-round development of the students. Sports, cultural, debates, speech competitions, quiz competitions, and other activities are also a part of our school curriculum. On the whole, the total emphasis lies on discipline, hard work, and harmonious development of the body and mind of the students. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Public School provides NCERT base Co-education. It provides learning opportunities and experiences. Our education is student-centered and individual with strong student-teacher interaction, small class sizes. The School is starting with prayer every morning; the whole routine has been made in such a way that moral values, spiritual strength, humanity, honesty, kindness, character building, and respect for the elders become the habit of the children. The school faculty comprises highly qualified and experienced, school organized from time to time special training to identify develop the various hidden potentials within the students. Girls are the basis of our society, so their overall intellectual development and education are given full attention like boys. Keeping in view the modern cum technical era, most of the textbooks have been digitized and all the course material has also been arranged according to the days to save the children from heavy school bags and burden of difficult homework so from the new session which thought about the betterment of students in a technical way, has modified ten normal classrooms into Smart class, to meet the requirements of the students. In April 2022, the hostel is set to start with accommodation and food facilities for 50 students so that students living in far-flung areas can also get a good education. The school also welcomes the suggestions for starting new activities as per the changing needs of the society and student’s development.
