The NIPUN Bharat guidelines aim at ensuring access to and retention of students in their foundational years of schooling, developing teacher capacity, creating high-quality, diversified student & teacher resources/learning materials, and tracking each student’s progress toward fulfilling the learning objectives. As a result, NIPUN Bharat guidelines emphasise on making the foundational level of learning holistic, inclusive, integrated, enjoyable, and engaging. Some of the key features of the NIPUN Bharat Mission are as follows:
- The Mission aims to target Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN).
- The Mission’s goal is to accomplish the needed learning objectives by the end of the third grade to increase awareness among the community, parents, volunteers, etc.
- It ensures that children should be able to read an age-appropriate unknown text and clarity at a rate of 45 to 60 words per min by the end of Grade 2 and at least 60 words per min by the end of Grade 3 respectively.
- The NIPUN Bharat MIssion pays particular attention towards the development of teachers’ capacities because they will be the group that is most responsible for NIPUN Bharat’s success.
