What is LEAD’s NCERT English Curriculum

The NCERT English Curriculum is offered to our CBSE Schools from Classes 6 to 10. The primary aim of NCERT English is to make thinking visible to the student. This means that students understand the purpose of what they are learning and are given opportunities to share their thoughts and opinions about it. It also encourages students to engage with the NCERT English textbooks at a deeper level.

What is LEAD’s NCERT English Curriculum

What are the components of LEAD’s NCERT English Curriculum

NCERT English buckets language learning into four main categories
Reading Comprehension, Grammar, Speaking & Listening, and Writing. Each class focuses on one of these specific categories

NCERT English follows a gradual release of responsibility model. This allows for students to have a firm understanding + enough time for practice before they are tested on the given topic/skill

It helps students critically engage with the texts that they read in English literature by focusing on learning English as a skill. This allows students to go beyond factual information presented in the text and think about inferences, connections, the author’s purpose, metaphors, etc

How is it different from LEAD’s ELGA Curriculum?

How is it different from LEAD’s ELGA Curriculum?

Unlike ELGA, which is tailor-made to cater to the individual English learning levels of each student, NCERT English is closely mapped to the CBSE prescribed textbooks and syllabus. It is perfect for schools that intend for students to continue to achieve high mastery in their English tests while also developing a deep interest in the language
