Excel in coding (with CCS)

21st-century education demands integration with coding – the innovative and absolutely necessary language of today. Planning for a futuristic education would not be complete without taking computational languages into account. Thus, we have curated the affordable Coding and Computational Skills (CCS) program to help students get out of the theory-only approach and learn how the language is meant to be learnt – practically.

With CCS, we help students learn coding languages from an early age, thus removing the grade-based constraints levied by most schools. We have also updated the curriculum to match highly practical western learning techniques. This also reduces the burden on parents as they do not have to find a solution for coding classes in the form of an after-school program.

Coding and Computational Skills (CCS)

LEAD’s Coding and Computational Skills (CCS) program is a new and innovative approach that enables each student to use ultra-modern software, think logically and visualise computation. The program has been launched after carefully analysing the National Education Policy (NEP) requirements and students’ needs. CCS creates an atmosphere of creativity and nudges children towards building apps, games and websites – thus learning by doing.

At LEAD, we build and foster talent by keeping our students up-to-date with what’s happening in the technological field. Our updated curriculum reflects our eagerness to stay relevant in education and has led us to transform the learning techniques. With CCS, we aim to create interest by using real-life computational examples that students find engaging.

Our approach

Our comprehensive Coding and Computational Skills (CCS) program is based on a four-step approach.

  1. Project-based learning
    At LEAD, our students learn coding practically by working on projects. We believe that both theoretical and practical approaches are absolutely necessary to learn to code. Hence, we assist our students in completing 5-6 practical projects like building websites, designing a tic-tac-toe game, making a simple snake and ladder game, etc.
  1. Use -> Think -> Build
    In this comprehensive approach, we help students learn how to USE applications, THINK logically by using algorithms and BUILD apps, games, websites, visualisations, animations and more.
  1. Real-life problem solving
    CCS projects integrate computers with concepts from real life and other subjects. Thus, while we assist a Grade 3 student in building small maze puzzles on Scratch Jr., we also help Grade 6 students build a visualisation to prove the Pythagoras theorem using Python.
  1. Accelerated learning path
    With our accelerated learning approach, we ensure that each child is getting the attention they require. Our CCS program is carefully designed such that students start at their current learning level and accelerate to grade level in one year.
